Former French Prime Minister and Senator Jean-Pierre Raffarin, Honorary President of the Europe + Foundation, will lead a delegation on March 12th to meet European Commission President José Manuel Barroso. He will be accompanied by Pierre Guénant and Patrick Gounelle, co-chairmen of Europe +.

The group will present two reports to the EU Commission President, both documents compiled by the Europe + Foundation’s think tank made of high level personalities and participants to the 2008 World Investment Conference (WIC) and the 1st Transatlantic Green Platform (TGP).

The first report “Re-launching the Lisbon Agenda with an effective Human Capital Strategy”, provides 52 recommendations placing human capital on top of priorities list for the next EU Commission to help reviving the Lisbon strategy through innovation and creativity of talents.

“Emerging and promoting Clean-Tech and Renewable Energies of the Future”, the second report, highlights 10 major orientations to reinforce the transatlantic cooperation in favour of environmental technologies and renewables to promote “green” growth.
The Europe+ Foundation, will also present the outline of the 2009 WIC which this year is themed around « Investing in Global Cities: Opportunities in Adversity». It will also present the associate conferences, such as the 2nd Transatlantic Green Platform themed on “Global cities and green growth” and the 1st Brainpower Forum : « Smart People, Competitive Economy, Global Challenge ». The 7th World Investment Conference takes place in La Baule on June 3-5, 2009.
